Lance Light Studios takes its name and emblem from Lance Light—a flagship hero of our original Capes & Chaos comic universe, pictured in the banner above in white and gold alongside Eagle Star and Nightfall. Illustrated by veteran comic book artists, our roots in superhero world-building inspire the visual craft behind everything we publish across our creative divisions.

Before inspiring Lance Light Studios, the character Lance Light began as the cornerstone of Capes & Chaos—an original roster of superheroes, villains, and cosmic powers brought to life through hundreds of custom hand-inked and colored illustrations.
While our studio’s front burner is focused on launching accessible tabletop titles, the Capes & Chaos universe is alive in our vault—waiting for its next chapter across future games and stories.

A Family-Founded Studio with Comic Book Roots
Started in Arizona in 2017 by Dan Hopkins and his kids, our studio began around the family table with a shared love for superhero world-building, comic art, and game design.
After years of creating under our original banner of 2C Comics, we evolved in 2026 into Lance Light Studios (Lance Light LLC)—providing a broader creative home for our commercial tabletop releases like Deductions while honoring our flagship superhero universe.
